The CMCC’s Code of Ethics, is based on six fundamental and non-negotiable principles: integrity, safety, quality, access, security and research.

All medical cannabis stakeholders, including licensed producers, are welcome to join as CMCC members as long as they commit to advancing the science, safety and efficacy of medical cannabis for patients and physicians in Canada and around the world in accordance with CMCC’s Code of Ethics.



  • Periodic discussions with relevant policy officials

    • An ethical, research and patient focused professional association that serves as a key partner for government, regulators and thought leaders

    • Outreach to opinion leaders in media, think tanks and government to share the best science related to medical cannabis, and inform current and future policy development

  • Annual policy roundtable with significant networking opportunities
    • Each year, the CMCC will bring together those in the industry for a day-long conference
  • News alerts
    • Stay up-to-date with the news alerts pertaining to the medical cannabis industry from the CMCC team
    • An in-depth quarterly newsletter will keep CMCC members on top of all upcoming events and relevant developments
  • Fact sheets, bulletins/and other outreach and educational materials
    • Research and scientific data will be made available to CMCC members
  • Speaking and profile-raising opportunities
    • CMCC will work with members to coordinate and promote speaking opportunities at conferences and other industry events, as well as media and patient outreach opportunities
  • Educational campaigns
    • CMCC will undertake various campaigns that seek to educate the public and policy-makers about medical cannabis
