Recently the Government of Ontario tabled legislation that would extend restrictions on the vaporization of tobacco in public spaces to the use of medical cannabis. The Canadian Medical Cannabis Council is opposed to such overboard restrictions and believes that a balance can be struck between the Constitutional rights of Canada’s critically and chronically ill and the rights of the general public.
The following letter has been submitted to the Government of Ontario with the goal of ensuring that any policies that stand to negatively affect medical cannabis patients are informed by science, reason and compassion, rather than crafted as a result of fear, stigma and misinformation.
